i've always had this mis-conception abt being vegetarian and how the food gonna taste without any meat in it. im a strictly one-meal-with-meat kinda person and truly love having meat in all my meal and so, the thot of being vegetarian has never come across my mind and was of cos a total no no for me. i cant imagine eating meals without chicken meat, beef & seafood (mutton, can skip it..i dislike the taste!). it may get pretty dull and boring and i may feel like a 'cow eating grass'..erm, no offence thoe.

but a wonderful vegetarian kolik of mine totally changed my mind-set and my mis-conceptions towards being vegetarian by inviting us to have a strictly indian vegetarian dinner at her place. i was dumbstruck at 1st, but at the same time appreciate her invite. i reckon the idea of a strict vegetarian dinner. no meat?! wonder wats the no-meat dishes gonna taste like..urgh!

still, i go ahead with the dinner invite with the rest of my koliks. i do not wanna dissapoint the host friendly gestures.

upon reaching her place, we were greeted and then lead to her dining area. i was flabbergasted when i saw deliciously prepared (ok, they look delicious at least) dinner dishes, spread on the dining table and knowing that they are all vegetarian dishes. there came in varieties, from idlis to puree, to dhal, to lentil soup..u name in..she had prepared it all..pure authentic vegetarian indian cuisine. and for the next hour or so, we were all enjoying dinner. even me, who kinda have connection problems with being a vegetarian.
boi it was delicious! my kolik is a good cook!
in fact i dint even realised that i was having a meatless meal..yes yes, it's dat delicious..

after that scrumptuous dinner, i'd realised that being vegetarian wasn't that bad of an idea. it's just a matter of having variety of meatless dishes and enjoying it..thoe i wont opt to be one. i still prefer to have meat in my meals..heh!

to latha, thanks for the invite..and yes, dinner was good!

toodles.
